The 2nd Annual UCLA–Mellinkoff Gastroenterology

Symposium will focus on novel medical, endoscopic and surgical therapeutics for a wide array of gastrointestinal and hepatic disorders. Distinguished faculty will share their
specialized expertise through formal lecture, Q & A panel discussion and hands–on endoscopy opportunities.

The hands–on sessions provide a valuable learning opportunity, though no CME credit will be issued for participation.

This agenda has been specifically designed to offer practical approaches and solutions that healthcare professionals may readily integrate into their daily practice.

Following completion of this program, participants should
be able to:

1. Discuss treatment options for esophageal disorders
including Barrett’s esophagus

2. Describe the applications, execution and
advancements in therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy

3. Demonstrate enhanced procedural skill when managing gastrointestinal bleeding

4. Incorporate novel treatment strategies when managing inflammatory bowel diseases and its complications

5. Apply practical clinical tips when managing common issues in peri–anal disease

6. Discuss recent developments in the management of functional gastrointestinal problems

7. Manage patients with chronic liver disease
