AMEE 2022

Ottawa 2022 is being held in Lyon from 26-28 August, immediately preceding AMEE 2022, Whilst it’s a separate Conference, Ottawa 2022 provides the opportunity to attend both conferences in one trip, and to get an in-depth update on the state of assessment in health professions education, as well as the more comprehensive focus of AMEE 2022. Both Conferences will be hybrid events, offering the opportunity to attend and present either face-to-face or virtually. We will again be using Swapcard as our conference app for both face-to-face and online participants to facilitate interaction.

2022 marks AMEE’s 50th Anniversary so there’s even more reason to join us in Lyon to celebrate together and help prepare health professions education for the next fifty years!

AMEE 2022 and Ottawa 2022 are truly hybrid Conferences. If you’re not able to join us in Lyon, many of the sessions will be live streamed, you have the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers, and in addition you can submit your short communication, eposter or workshop for presentation in your own regional time zone.

Here’s what you can expect at AMEE 2022

- Participate in stimulating, thought-provoking interactive sessions - Plenaries, symposia, short communications, preconference and conference workshops, ESME courses, e-posters, research papers, doctoral reports, AMEE Fringe, PechaKucha™, point of view, round table, meet the experts, and so much more!
- Follow the conference tracks of particular relevance to you -undergraduate education, postgraduate education and training, continuing professional development, surgery education - with sessions for teachers, deans, course directors, administrators, researchers and students in all the healthcare professions;
- Come early to enjoy one of the many preconference events including workshops and courses;
- Present your own work in one of the many sessions and receive feedback from colleagues;
- Network with colleagues both in and out of the sessions;
- See state-of-the-art products and services demonstrated in the exhibition and in exhibitor workshops;
- Get a world-view of what is happening in medical and healthcare professions education;
- Enjoy the beautiful city of Lyon, full of character and culture, and return home refreshed and invigorated, with new ideas to enhance your teaching.

AMEE 2022 preconference workshops and ESME courses take place on 27 and 28 August with the main conference running from the evening of Sunday 28 to Wednesday 31 August.
