The breadth and scope of imaging procedures continues to increase. This course provides a review of the imaging findings in various disease states using a wide variety of clinically available imaging modalities. Pitfalls in image interpretation and the optimal methods for imaging various structures and disorders are reviewed. Sessions on dose reduction in CT and treatment of contrast reactions are provided. Audience participation will be available for case review sessions. Self-assessment modules (SAMS) will be developed tailored to the course material.

Knowledge gaps that this course addresses include those due to limited experience with newer imaging modalities for diagnosis. This course seeks to review the use and optimization of these newer modalities in disorders that may be encountered in daily practice.
